Privacy & Terms

Your photos never leave your device — all image processing happens in your browser. GridSplit has no accounts, never sells data, and collects only anonymous usage statistics plus whatever you choose to send us through the contact form.

When you upload a photo to the splitter, it is read and processed entirely in your browser using the HTML canvas. The image is never transmitted to our servers or to any third party — we could not look at it if we wanted to. Closing the tab discards it.

You keep all rights to your photos. We claim no license over anything you process with GridSplit.

Anonymous usage statistics. We count page views, visit sources (for example "came from Google"), scroll depth, and aggregate tool usage (photos uploaded, grids split, downloads) using a first-party system that stores only daily totals — no profiles, no user identifiers, no IP addresses. We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to distinguish visits; you can block it with any ad blocker or your browser's cookie settings and the site works exactly the same.

Counters. The "posts generated" counter and page likes are single anonymous totals. Your browser's local storage remembers whether you liked a page so the button stays filled for you.

Contact form. If you write to us, the name, email address, and message you submit are stored by our hosting provider (Netlify Forms) so we can read and reply. We use them for nothing else. Ask us to delete a message and we will.

Hosting logs. The site is served by Netlify, which — like any host — may process standard server logs (including IP addresses) to deliver and secure the service.

• No selling or sharing of personal data
• No advertising networks or cross-site tracking
• No uploading, storing, or inspecting of your photos

GridSplit is free to use for personal and commercial work. Exported images include a small "gridsplit.app" watermark; a paid tier that removes it is planned.

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we are not liable for losses arising from its use — always check your exported tiles before posting. Only process images you have the right to use, and don't attempt to abuse, overload, or interfere with the service.

We may update these terms and this policy as the product evolves; the effective date above always reflects the latest revision. Meaningful changes will be noted here.
